In February of this year Guy planned a pseudo surprise trip upon my return to the UK (I knew we were going somewhere, but didn’t know where). After being apart for 2 months I was super excited to be back together and to explore a bit more of Scotland.
We stayed near Lock Earn and enjoyed typical Scottish winter weather- grey, wet, and cold- but it made for an amazing trip. We hiked to the Bracklinn falls one day (pictured), and then we all decided we were wet enough for the weekend and spent some time exploring the nearby pubs and restaurants. We were lucky enough to find a couple with fires, very useful for drying off, and spent the rest of the trip chatting, trying different beers, appeasing Spice (who was very offended by the weather), eating meringues the size of our heads, and enjoying being together again. Even though the rain waylaid some of Guy’s plans, the trip was amazing and special because we got to experience it together.
