After a long, near decade, time apart Chelsi and I had a fleeting catchup in Edinburgh. It was the hardest and best decision I have ever made. However it was so fleeting that it was hard to take everything in. Making the next decision to fly to Copenhagen was the second best decision I have ever made.

Chelsi walking along the pier by the opera house in Copenhagen
Waking up early in the Copenhagen sun and walking along the waterfront with Chelsi is a memory I will never forget. The empty boulevard gave us space to catch up and let everything fall back into place.

Chelsi at the University with the sun casting a shadow across her face
Letting Chelsi talk about the sights and sounds of her time in Copenhagen while we walked towards the University made me feel like we had never been apart. Getting to see her basement filled with skeletons from floor to ceiling reminded me of how much she tried to teach me when we were together in Edinburgh.

Finally we walked to Mikkeller Baghaven and sat by the water again watching the sun set. One of those naturally perfect moments to start a new chapter of my life with.
